First, thanks to all who attended our Texas de Brazil summer celebration two weeks ago. We hope you enjoyed yourself and we’re glad you came. The event raised more than $1,500 for the children and families at St. Jude.

On this special night, all members of Friends of St. Jude, friends, co-workers and family can purchase Lower Level tickets for $32. Half the cost of each ticket will directly benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.

Purchase tickets online or call the St. Jude Midwest Office at 773-784-6704. Orders must be received no later than Friday, August 15th.

***In order to sit as a group, tickets must be purchased together, in one order. Seats closest to the field will be distributed in order of purchase. Tickets will be mailed to the ticket purchaser and cannot be purchased at the U.S. Cellular Field Box Office.

This is your chance to start the summer off right by spending a day at the beach with Friends of St Jude for our annual 4-on-4 coed volleyball tournament Bump, Set, Spike for St. Jude. You’ll get more than a great tan; you also have a chance to win some fabulous prizes, get a sporty new t-shirt and that much needed warm up after the winter blues. Don’t hesitate the registration deadline is 1pm on June 6th!

Skill levels: Just for Fun, Intermediate, Advanced

Coed volleyball requires 2 females per team

Rally scoring to 25 points with continuous play in your skill level

There’s still plenty of time to become a member of Friends of St. Jude, Auxiliary Board Chicago for 2008! Members are involved in planning events, such as the volleyball tournament and Harvest Moon. And in exchange for $25 dues, members get a St. Jude pin, as well as special perks and the added satisfaction of investing their time for a great cause!
